Kantara is the present trending movie in the news and on the social media. Many claimed that the makers have to remove the Original avatar of Varaha from the movie. Some cases are filed on this issue earlier.
The lower division level court cited lack of jurisdiction and dismissed the plea, thereby lifting the injunction on the inclusion of the controversial song in the film. However, there is another plea in the Palakkad district court that is still in progress.
The honorable court has dismissed the copyright plea of Kerala music band Thaikkudam Bridge, over the movie’s song ‘Varaha Roopam’. The court has also allowed Hombale Films, the makers of Kantara, to reinstate the original version of their song ‘Varaha Roopam’ in the film, both in the theatres as well as on streaming.
The film is currently streaming on Prime Video and after all these issues. Can Varaha Roopam will make its way back to streaming platforms after all ?
