Naga Chaitanya’s recent outing Custody was opened on May 12 bagging mixed responses right from the first shows. The film was directed by Venkat Prabhu. Krithi Shetty is the female lead playing romance opposite Chai. The track record of previous films NC which was released in the month of May is fruitful and agreeable to audiences.
The films 100% Love, Rarandoi Veduka Chuddam, Thadaka, and Manam were released in May month and they were super successful at the box office. Unfortunately, the success streak of May month came to an end with Custody. Before the release of Custody, everyone pinned their hopes on the film’s success but the situation is quite opposite when it comes to big screens.
Coming to Custody’s outline review, Naga Chaitanya and Arvind Swami delivered exceptional performances bringing depth and authenticity to the story with their remarkable on-screen talent. Mainly the action episodes in the film are well-executed and top-notch. The major positives are action sequences, BGM’s and Cinematography.
Huge drawbacks are songs and dragging plot lines, even the director missed his signature style of blending action. The film was produced by Srinivas Chitturi under the Srinivasaa Silver screen label. The film faces criticism for the storyline, predictability and music.
