Chandoo Mondeti’s upcoming projects
Director Chandoo Mondeti is still praised for his blockbuster Karthikeya 2 which was released in Pan Indian languages. The young and happening director is planning to come back with more magnum opus in his coming films.
The director talking about his ongoing projects, Chandoo described his next film with reigning star Naga Chaitanya as a gripping story of fishermen who get stuck in Pakistan. When asked about the kind of movie he is making with Naga Chaitanya, Chandoo opened up about his future plans.
The upcoming film will be a very interesting and gripping entertainer. It would also show Naga Chaitanya in a new light. The actor is also going to transform to fit the role of a humble fisherman. The story took place in some villages of Srikakulam, where people are fishermen by profession.
The film marks the trials and tribulations of fishermen who spend the whole year in the midst of the sea and spend just a few days with their families. The crux of the story is the struggles of families of fishermen when the latter are stranded in Pakistan.
Director also opened up about being in touch with Bollywood stars like Hrithik Roshan and Kartik Aaryan for some time. In fact, the director wanted to make this story with Kartik in Bollywood as the reach will be larger but later found Naga Chaitanya would be a perfect match and started shooting in multiple languages.
Talking about his specific interest in narrating mythological stories as the director thinks Indian epics have a lot of potential to convey core values with massive stories but as a director, he wants to make social dramas with a tinge of mystical touch to dish out different genres. Chandoo Mondeti also confirmed his next with actor Suriya.
