Once again, Pathaan is surrounded by another controversy. It looks like the film cannot get rid of the hot potato. Yesterday, a group of people invaded a theatre in Narengi, Assam, and set the movie’s posters on fire. Addressing this incident, the CM of Assam said he does not know who Shah Rukh khan is, and along with this, he also said that he doesn’t know the upcoming movie ‘Pathaan.’
Later this incident occurred; according to Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma, Bollywood star Shah Rukh Khan called him late on Saturday to express concern about alleged protests by a right-wing group in the state against the premiere of his movie. Sarma has told Shah Rukh Khan that the state government will ensure that no such unfortunate incident occurs while his movie, “Pathaan,” is being screened.
He tweeted that Bollywood actor Shri @iamsrk called me, and we talked today morning at 2 am. He expressed concern about an incident in Guwahati during the screening of his film. I assured him that it’s the duty of the state govt to maintain law & order. We’ll enquire and ensure no such untoward incidents.
