Gadar 3
After the success of Gadar 2 with over 400 crores at the Box Office, The Gadar team seems to be ready for a part three. Something seems to be brewing in his head about the third instalment. The end of Gadar 2 movie has left some spicy hints about the crew’s implication that there’s more to this franchise.
The team said in an interaction, “You need to wait and watch. It says ‘to be continued.” Utkarsh Sharma, the actor who played Tara Singh’s son Jeete in both the Gadars, said, “Even I don’t know. He has kept the cards close to his chest but I know there is something brewing in his mind.”
A paparazzi told Sunny Deol once “Gadar 3 ka wait hai,” (we’re waiting for Gadar 3) and he enthusiastically said, “Woh bhi aayegi,” (that’ll come too) with a thumbs up. Bringing two and two together, fans’ guessing game is on.
In a promotional event for Gadar 2, Sunny Deol had expressed his hesitation for Gadar’s sequel. Initially, his head always nodded a ‘no’ every time the team mentioned a sequel because he was too scared of ruining the originality of Gadar: Ek Prem Katha with a part two, because often times sequels are not able to recreate the same magic. But, after the audience went hip-hip-hurray about Gadar 2, the hesitation on Sunny Deol’s face seems to have vanished and he looks ready to start working for Gadar 3.
While Gadar is about the undying love between Tara and Sakeena leaving religious barriers behind, Gadar 2’s focal point is on the father-son reunion after Tara Singh successfully fights with the Pakistani officers and brings his son back from Lahore.
