India’s most loved and sought-after singer, AR Rahman is known though out the world for his rich and invigorating music. But this popular singer was interrupted by the cops while performing.

On Sunday night, AR Rahman was giving one of his spectacular performances at his concert in Pune’s Raja Bahadur Mill. Halfway through singing his popular hit song Chaiyya Chaiyya, cops barged in and stopped his performance. The timings of the concert were from 8 to 10 pm only but AR Rahman had exceeded the time limit which caused the police authorities to halt the concert.

In the video released on Twitter, a cop can be seen walking on the stage and asking the singer to stop the concert. The star’s fans left the concert enraged and disappointed as they felt the singer was disrespected by the cops. The hashtag #DisRespectofARRahman has been trending since the concert ended. Fans are of the opinion that the issue could have been taken care of better and that the cops should have spoken to the organisers of the show rather than stepping on the stage. There are also many other tweets supporting the cops as they feel the law applies to everyone even the Oscar- Winning singer.
