During the audio launch of Sivakarthikeyan’s upcoming science fiction film Ayalaan directed by R. Ravikumar, music director AR Rahman compared the film to Steven Spielberg’s 1982 film ET, claiming that the film will be India’s “next ET.”
Ayalaan, the upcoming film from Sivakarthikeyan, is undeniably one of the most anticipated upcoming films. The film has been in the works for quite some time, and the release date has been pushed back several times. However, the filmmakers confirmed earlier this month that the film will be released on January 12th, 2024, during Sankranti/Pongal.
AR Rahman, the veteran music director, revealed at the event that he is nervous about working with computer graphics. He did, however, add that Ayalaan turned out well, even comparing it to Steven Spielberg’s 1982 science-fiction film ET. AR Rahman also stated that director R Ravikumar risked his entire career for the film.
