“Anyone But You” is an American romantic comedy film inspired by William Shakespeare’s “Much Ado About Nothing.” Starring Sydney Sweeney and Glen Powell, the movie initially struggled to attract audiences during its release over the Christmas period. However, it later became one of the most financially successful R-rated romantic comedies in a decade, thanks to exceptional word-of-mouth and effective viral marketing via platforms like TikTok.

The storyline revolves around Ben, an employee at Goldman Sachs, and Bea, a law student at Boston University. Their promising first date takes a wrong turn, leading to mutual disdain. However, fate brings them together months later at the destination wedding of their sisters in Australia. Despite playing the part of a happy couple for the event, Ben and Bea find themselves drawn to each other once again.
