Nandamuri Kalyan Ram scored the biggest hit in his career with the time-travel tale Bimbisara, helmed by debutant Mallidi Vasishta. The actor-producer wants to continue his victorious streak with his latest movie Amigos, which was released yesterday. Bankrolled by Naveen Yerneni and Y Ravi Shankar under the Mythri Movie Makers banner was released yesterday on a grand note.
Coming to the trade reports, The pre-release business of the movie closes to 16 crores which includes Nizam 4.5 crores, Ceded 2.5 crores, in India did an overall business of 7 crores. The rest of India’s rights were sold out for 80 lakhs and overseas market for 90 lakhs. Overall the totals put up to 16 crores.
The first-day collection numbers are very decent in total. Overall, the film made around 3.5 to 5 crores. The early shows grabbed some mixed opinions which resulted in a slight drop in collections. But the evening and night shows are almost House fulls.
As so there are no big deals for Kalyan Ram to compete it’s a cakewalk for the movie to cross the Break-even mark. Let’s see what the amount it would collect..
Currently, Kalyan ram is working with the director Rajendra reddy on his upcoming project tentatively titled NKR 19. The movie makers recently disclosed that the movie has finished production. There is now a great deal of interest in the movie due to its title.
On the work front, Kalyan Ram is also working on Devil with Naveen Medaram and another untitled actioner with KV Guhan. The actor is also bankrolling his brother Jr NTR’s #NTR30 with Koratala Siva, which is currently in its pre-production stages.
