Amber Heard’s role in “Aquaman 2” was significantly reduced….
Hollywood’s famous actress Amber Heard is again in the limelight. Her iconic Mira role in “Aquaman 2” has been the subject of much conversation, seemingly due to her long legal battle with Johnny Depp. Rumours swirled about her reduced role, while some fans organized a petition to have Heard removed from the movie.
It is reported that Amber Heard’s part in the sequel was significantly cut down after Depp’s legal team called her abuse claims a “hoax”. After rumours about Amber’s reduced role, James Wan, the director of Aquaman, says the sequel would always be Arthur and Om.
James Wan spoke with EW about his DC sequel and shared his plans for Mera from the jump. “I always pitched this to everyone from the get-go. The first Aquaman was Arthur and Mera’s journey. The second movie would always be Arthur and Orm,” Wan said. “So, the first was a romance action-adventure movie. The second one is a bromance action-adventure movie. We’ll leave it at that.”
Aquaman and the Last Kingdom is the 15th and final instalment in the DC Extended Universe (DCEU) and is scheduled to hit theatres worldwide on December 20, 2023.DC Studios, Atomic Monster and The Safran Company produces the film and distributed by Warner Bros. Pictures.
