Alia Bhatt To Be Princess In Her Next Venture?

Alia Bhatt, a beloved actress known for her captivating performances, has just finished filming her latest project, Jigra. With several exciting projects on the horizon, Alia is now in the spotlight as the prime choice for a new venture. Renowned filmmaker Gurinder Chadha is reportedly working on a thrilling Indian princess musical in collaboration with Disney, and Alia is said to be the frontrunner for the lead role.

Renowned filmmaker Gurinder Chadha, known for movies like Bend It Like Beckham and Bride and Prejudice, is currently developing a musical film centered around an Indian princess in collaboration with Disney.

According to a recent report by Mid-Day, Chadha has been discussing the lead role with actress Alia Bhatt for some time, with Alia being among the top choices for the role.

If plans materialize, this project could mark a significant step for Alia in establishing herself on the global stage, following her Hollywood debut in Heart of Stone last year. The collaboration is expected to commence in the second half of 2025.

Alia and Gurinder Chadha have met several times in recent months, with Chadha even sharing a picture of them together on Instagram during her visit to Mumbai for Aamir Khan’s daughter Ira Khan’s wedding in January.

Chadha also attended a special screening of the web series Poacher, on which Alia served as an executive producer, and made an appearance at the Hope Gala in London, hosted by Alia as a fundraiser for charity.

Alia Bhatt Work Front:

Alia Bhatt is gearing up for the release of the action thriller Jigra, directed by Vasan Bala and jointly produced by her production company, Eternal Sunshine Productions, and Karan Johar’s Dharma Productions. The film, centered around a sibling relationship, also features Vedang Raina from The Archies.

In addition to Jigra, Alia will soon begin shooting for a solo film set in Aditya Chopra’s spy universe. Furthermore, she is set to reunite with her Gangubai Kathiawadi director Sanjay Leela Bhansali for Love & War, an epic saga co-starring her husband Ranbir Kapoor and actor Vicky Kaushal.
