Bankrolled by Yashraj, this is one of the most awaited movies of the year too. For the Bolly fans, this is good news. According to the sensor talk, the film is a sure-shot blockbuster. It may set many new records at the box office. Already pre-release buzz was phenomenal. A huge opening day is on the cards, say the sources.
Directed by Chandraprakash Dwivedi, the film’s plot is taken from the life of warrior Prithviraj Chouhan. His fearless war against Mohammed Ghori in the first battle of Tarain was the main point around which the story unveils. At first, the film’s title was just Prithviraj but later changed to Samrat Prithviraj after protests from Karni Sena in Chandigarh.
Former Miss World Manushi Chillar will debut in the Hindi Film Industry with this film. She will be seen as Samyogita. There are a lot of other stars like Sanjay Dutt, Sonu Sood, and Ashutosh Rana playing key roles. The movie will be released on June 3 in Telugu, Tamil, and Hindi languages. Bollywood is looking at a good opening day as a pan-Indian film, says the trade sources. This positive thinking is appreciable given the flak movie received after the release of its trailer. Youtube comments are filled with rejecting Akki portraying the significant warrior role. His looks and body language don’t suit carrying Prithviraj’s heavy and serious role, says one of the netizens in comments. Well, there are two sides to every coin.
