Akshay Kumar’s next biopic was announced last year by releasing actor’s look in the upcoming film wearing turban with long beard and spectacles. It’s known that the director is making a movie based on mining incident that happened during 1989.
It’s a story of former additional chief mining engineer, Late Jaswant Singh Gill who saved 65 people who got trapped in flooded coal mine in Ranigunj, West Bengal. According to latest sources, Makers decided to go with the title “The Great Indian Rescue” as it does complete justice for the movie plot. Since it’s based on real incredible rescue mission and what’s better than title ‘The Great Indian Rescue’, they believe that “title mein dum hai”. Makers also have plans to release the movie this year as it almost wrapped up its schedule and only post production work is there but akshay Kumar’s Soorarai Pottru remake is set to release on September 1 and selfie is lined up for later release. It remains unknown when the movie will be hitting theatres but sure is going to be screened in 2023.
The Great Indian Rescue stars Akshay Kumar as Jaswant Singh Gill while Parineeti Chopra is the female lead. Movie is directed by Tinu Suresh Desai who previously worked with akshay kumar on other bipic, Rustom in 2016 which was also a blockbuster. The Great Indian Rescue is produced under Pooja Entertainment banners.
Akshay Kumar is also collaborating with singer B Praak after his hits Filhaal and Filhaal 2. Akshay Kumar starring new single titled ‘Kya Loge Tum’ also stars Amyra Dastur as his love interest in the video. Yesterday Akshay kumar took to Instagram about the song’s first poster captioned . “The team of Filhall and Filhaal 2 returns with yet another heartbreak song, #KyaLogeTum. Get ready to let your emotions and tears flow. Song releasing on 15th May at 6 pm.”
