Akshay Kumar discusses recent box office disappointments! Says wants to explore different genres

Akshay Kumar

Akshay Kumar, who has been going great guns at the box office with triumphs coming thick and fast, revealed during the release of the trailer for his upcoming film “Bade Miyan Chote Miyan” that his recent films “Selfiee” and “Mission Raniganj” received very terrible feedback.

The Bollywood superstar explained his dedication to his ventures, saying he had no control over the box office outcomes. “We try again and again, whatever the genre,” he stated during the trailer unveiling event. “I do not confine myself to any one genre.”

If the film is compared to any other successful or failing production, I will continue to experiment with genres as I have done since then, whether it’s social dramas, comedies, or action-packed undertakings, he said.

Sticking to his bone-deep honesty, Akshay underlines, “I will not limit myself to one type just because it is hot. Just because comedy and action are popular genres does not mean I have to stick to them. “One becomes bored doing the same things.”

Reflecting on his career, he recalled one particular period when he delivered 16 flops in a row. “I’ve gone through such times before,” he said. “But I strive, and I will do the same again. Against all odds, it is our hard work with the light of hope for success from this year’s picture. “We have strived, and now we need to expect the fruits of labor in the form of our good star.”

Bade Miyan Chote Miyan is an action thriller directed by Ali Abbas Zafar. It will feature an intriguing camaraderie between Akshay Kumar and  will play the antagonist.

This Eid season, it will be a duel of titans as Ajay Devgn competes against Akshay Kumar. We’re talking about Maidaan and Bade Miyan Chote Miyan, which both come out on April 10, 2024.
