After Aish, Mani Ratnam wants this Bollywood actress..?

Kamal Haasan, also known as “Ulaganayagan,” and the director of the much-anticipated film Ponniyin Selvan, Mani Ratnam, have confirmed that they will be working together once again after 35 years. Their last collaboration was for the iconic movie Naayakan in 1987.

The news was announced on the occasion of Kamal Haasan’s 68th birthday through a tweet by the actor himself. Fans were pleasantly surprised by this announcement, considering it to be unexpected. The upcoming film, which will be produced jointly by Haasan and Ratnam, will feature music composed by the renowned musician AR Rahman.

Reportedly, the budget for the film is close to 150 crores. News is spreading in and around the film circles of Kollywood that Mani Ratnam is looking for a Bollywood actress to act with Kamal Haasan. Vidya Balan who’s famous for her female-centric film in Bollywood will be the female lead in this film.

Tentatively titled KH 234 is jointly bankrolled by Kamal Haasan, Mani Ratnam, R. Mahendran and Siva Ananth. Other details about the film are still under wraps. Kamal Haasan is working on Indian 2 and Mani Ratnam is basking in success with Ponniyin Selvan-2.
