Maya Bazar which was released in 1957 is an epic movie of the Telugu Film industry. The film was directed by K.V. Reddy. It is an Indian epic Hindu mythological film based on Mahabharata. The movie features many versatile actors N.T.Rama Rao, S.V.Ranga Rao, Akkineni Nageswara Rao and Savitri. N.T.Rama Rao has played the role of God Krishna in this film for the first time, which bought him so much fame and offers to act as Krishna in many other films.
One of the songs, “Vivaha Bhojanambu” got very famous and this song is still played in many Telugu marriages. Heroine Savitri played a tremendous role in this movie, she has increased a lot of fan base with her acting. Savitri remained an evergreen actress in this film.
Mayabazar was the first colorized Telugu film, it was colourized in 2007 and the movie was again released in a few theatres in Andhra Pradesh. This film is still one of the most famous films, it had won many awards along with the hearts of the Telugu audience.
