2018 Box-Office Tsunami!

Jude Anthony film ‘2018’ breaks collection records in Malayalam cinema. The film earned Rs 5.6 crore from Kerala only yesterday. 40.10 Crores the movie has earned in total. At the same time, the film is preparing to touch 100 crores in the global collection by today. 93 crore has already been collected, according to unofficial figures.

Currently Prithviraj-Mohanlal film ‘Lucifer’ tops the 100 crore collection list. The film achieved this feat in 12 days. This record is expected to be surpassed in 2018. The film was also supposed to cross 50 crore collection in the first week itself. Apart from Malayalam, the film will release in Tamil, Telugu, Kannada and Hindi languages.

The film, which is set in the 2018 floods in which Kerala survived, hit the theaters on May 5. 2018 holds great hope as filmmakers scramble to survive the troubled times of Malayalam cinema. All over the state, the audience is seen leaving the theater with tears in their eyes.

Tovino Thomas, Asif Ali, Kunchacko Boban, Indrans, Vineeth Srinivasan, Lal, Naren, Aparna Balamurali, Aju Varghese etc. are lined up in the film. The cinematography of the film was written by Akhil P Dharmajan and handled by Akhil George. Chaman Chacko did the editing. Music by Nobin Paul.
