During the conversation with the host, Jahnavi was made aware that the host often comes across one request where the guest asks if they will be provided with hair and makeup services, considering this situation the host asked Jahnavi why is it important for actors to look good in an interview?
Jahnavi suggested, “I think that is a question I ask myself a lot as well, and honestly if it was left up to me you would see me a lot more like that.” she added, “If a bunch of people are going to look at me I want to look presentable, but of course, there are days where I really couldn’t care at all, but I think it’s been perpetuated by the culture of actors being sort of idol worship, unattainable you can’t really figure out what it is about them that makes them aspirational.” She further added, ” There were days when I walked out of the airport in my pajamas with my pillow in my hand. There are times when I feel the chatter gets too much like, “Oh, you are not looking like an actor, you are not acting like an actor.” and then you are like maybe I should put in a little effort.” Jahnavi concludes her statement by suggesting, “It all comes down to how people see you on the big screen or on the screen at their home.”
