Gulshan Devaiah
Gulshan Devaiah who appeared in spectacular roles throughout his career recently got candid in an interview. Gulshan previously appeared in Dahaad alongside Sonakshi Sinha where he played a role of a responsible cop, Devi Lal Singh which bagged him immense appreciation.
Upon being asked, ” Gulshan Devaiah is someone who is always secure in his space, but do you think the roles you are offered or the roles you pick kind of added to stereotypes?” Gulshan stated, ” It’s there, I have decided not to do anything about it because there can be variety in that also. I will give you a great example, I will give you Vijay Varma’s example, mostly he does, he plays a*******, and he is famous for that, but he is able to create versatility and diversity within that. People love his work, I love his work. If he is not particularly bothered about it why should anybody be?” he further added, ” I used to be a little bothered about it in the beginning but I also decided to some extent I can control it, by deciding what I should do and what I shouldn’t do, and to some extent I shouldn’t bother about it at all, because you can still create a lot of versatility within that image.”
Vijay Varma and Gulshan Devaiah have been buddies for so long, Gulshan engages in playful banter suggesting the kind of roles his dear friend plays and how much he loves Vijay’s work. On the work front, Gulshan Devaiah’s Guns and Gulaabs is set to stream on Netflix from the 18th of August 2023.
