Dulquer Salmaan, a heart throb across the nation, is promoting his up-coming release King Of Kotha and enjoying the success of his recent Netflix series Guns & Gulaabs. The Malayali superstar sat down with ‘Beer Biceps’ for a fun podcast session and talked about his female fan-following, his marriage and the number 3.
While talking of the admiration he receives from women, he said it was probably due to his roles in movies like Sita Ramam and Ok Kanmani, “Otherwise I have a serious boy-following in Kerala, the boys will take it very personally if you keep saying female-following,” he joked.
He went on to say that usually older women are crazier, placing a peck on his cheek or grabbing him from behind. “They’ll just sneak a peck on my cheek, not very appropriate but sweet.”When the host asked if anyone had grabbed him he replied “Yes again, an older woman, it was a bazzare experience, I was in pain.”
While talking about his marriage, the actor revealed that he wished he’d started working a little earlier. Having married at 28 years old, he revealed that he wished he had earned for himself, and went on solo trips or other things he can’t do now.”
Those kinds of things I wish I had done, if I had the money to spend, to go to some concert in Europe or something like that.” He went on to say that when he first met his wife he told her “I want to atleast act in one film and direct one film.”
“She has seen this every day, she has seen bad days and all of it. I think she balances me, in that sense.” “If I ever act a little bratty, she has the freedom to tell me ‘No, calm down.’
The actor, speaking about how he met his wife, shared that he has “this weird thing with three” and saw his wife three times, in a week, randomly out-and-about and with friends saying it could be a potential match, invited her out for coffee. He even revealed that sometimes when he rejects a film if it comes back a third time, he starts reconsidering it.
