Vignesh Shivan’s upcoming directorial venture, LIC, has become the town’s talk for its star-studded cast and recent legal troubles. The movie, featuring Pradeep Ranganathan, Kirthi Shetty, and SJ Suryah in lead roles, has encountered a setback after Nayanthara, the lady superstar of Indian cinema and Vignesh Shivan’s wife, stepped away from her role in the movie.
Nayanthara will play a prominent role as Pradeep Ranganathan’s sister in the film. Still, her recent departure from the project has prompted the filmmakers to seek a replacement for the pivotal role.
According to the report, what stands in the way of Nayanthara being a part of the film is the high fee that the actress charges and the Jawan actress has been receiving close to 10 crores per film in recent times.
The makers are unwilling to spend less to get a prominent actress in a supporting role. While Nayanthara’s potential involvement had generated anticipation among fans, the uncertainty surrounding her participation has led to disappointment.
LIC is a collaborative effort between Vignesh Shivan, Pradeep Ranganathan, and Krithi Shetty. Produced by Seven Screen Studio and Rowdy Pictures, the film boasts Anirudh Ravichander’s music and Ravi Varman’s cinematography.
