According to the most recent reports, Shruti Haasan will debut in Kannada cinema with the upcoming pan-Indian film Toxic, starring KGF star Yash alongside Geetu Mohandas.

‘Toxic’ marks Yash’s 19th film; a teaser video was released last. Produced by KVN Productions and directed by Geetu Mohandas, With a tagline that read, “A fairytale for grown-ups,” “Toxic” hinted at its plot. The movie is scheduled to open in theatres in April 2025. In addition to being Geetu Mohandas’ first film as a director in the Kannada film industry, Toxic also represents her first joint effort with Yash. It is known that the movie was produced on a considerable budget and centres on the Goan Drug Cartel. The film is also expected to have an enormous budget and a fantastic plot.
Toxic is the first movie produced by Yash under his production company, Monster Mind Creations, and it is backed by KVN Productions. Yash is also reportedly a co-producer of the movie. Charan Raj has been contacted for the movie’s background score. Steve Griffin will also handle the film’s stunt choreography.
Star-Studded cast
In Toxic, KGF actor Yash plays the main character, and Shruti Hassan will be needed for the film. Additionally, earlier reports indicated that Kareena Kapoor Khan would play the movie’s female lead. The actress hinted in a recent interview that she was working on a South Indian film, which is rumoured to have a pan-Indian appeal, though she did not provide specifics. According to recent industry rumours, Shah Rukh Khan is rumoured to have a unique role in the movie. Official confirmation on this matter is still pending.
