In recent times, there has been a significant amount of discussion surrounding the possibility of a cinematic adaptation of the popular Doordarshan superhero series Shaktimaan, Bollywood actor Ranveer Singh is set to don the iconic cape as he takes on the role of Shaktimaan, in an upcoming film directed by Basil Joseph.

It has been confirmed that Shaktimaan will indeed be brought to the big screen but Shaktimaan stretching into a trilogy of films is completely false. Furthermore, due to a contractual obligation, director Basil Joseph is unable to provide any official statements regarding the project.

Talking About the trilogy of Shaktimaan movies with Ranveer, the source said, “That’s absolute rubbish. It is just one film at the moment. Depending on how it is received, they will see how to carry the franchise forward.” Lately, there’s been plenty of talk on Shaktimaan, the Doordarshan superhero serial that aired from 1997 to 2005, getting a big-screen interpretation.

On the work front, Ranveer Singh is currently preparing for the release of the cop-drama Singham Again, directed by Rohit Shetty. In addition to Singham Again, Ranveer Singh is also confirmed to appear in the highly anticipated film Don 3.
