The Dil Se actress Preity Zinta, who last appeared in Bhaiaji Superhit, a 2018 film, was reported to make a comeback alongside a veteran superstar, Sunny Deol, but the actress happens to have declined to play the leading lady’s role in the film, the role is reportedly offered to a veteran actress.
In 1947, Lahore sketched the lives of two individuals during the partition. Zain and Meera belong to two different communities, haggling through the chaos of that time; this period’s love story has yet to be filmed.
Rajkumar Santoshi, the director of the film, was reportedly offered the role to Preity Zinta, which the actress happens to have declined. The team allegedly reached out to Shabana Azmi to play the role of a Hindu lady who declines to move out of her Haveli set in Lahore, given to a Muslim family who immigrated from India to Pakistan.
