Toxic, starring Yash in the lead role, is the actor’s return to the big screen after the massive success of KGF: Chapter 2. However, the film project made headlines since mid-2022 about its cast and crew, especially the female lead, with so many star actors in the makers’ minds.
Pooja Hegde has been roped in as the female lead of Rocking Star Yash’s next movie after ‘KGF Chapter 2’, tentatively titled ‘Toxic’, but considering the actress’s movies going flop, the makers stepped back for the final agreement.
Pooja Hegde, who didn’t see any successive hits theatrically, became the crucial reason for the makers to have secondary discussions. There were rumors about Kareena Kapoor as the female lead, but the actress’s team dismissed the fake rumors.
Now, in the teaser, one can hear the voice of Shruti Haasan announce the title. Without much ado, Shruti Haasan herself cleared the speculations when she started posting well-wishes from her fans on how appealing and magical her voice was.
The film is helmed by Mollywood actress-turned-director Geethu Mohandas, who has made her mark directing critically acclaimed flicks like Liar’s Dice and Moothon.
