Pankaj Tripathi is known for his impactful roles in Hindi films. He gained recognition for his role in Gangs of Wasseypur, Newton Stree, and Bareilly Ki Barfi, among others. He has since starred in the commercially successful satire OMG 2, which was released in 2023 alongside Akshay Kumar.
In a recent interview with Pankaj Tripathi, he was asked about the situation if there is a film made on his life and which actor he would like to play his role on screen.
During the conversation, when the reporter asked Pankaj what the title of the film made in his life would be, Pankaj replied, “Meri Zindagi Ke Upar Ek Film. Uska naam yehi hota, Meri Zindagi Ke Upar Ek Film (A film on my life. That’s what it would be called, a film on my life).”
The question led to another question, and he was asked which actor he would want to play Pankaj in his biopic. Tripathi opted for his Mirzapur co-star Vikrant Massey.
Pankaj Tripathi will next portray the former Indian Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee in the biographical drama Main Atal Hoon. The film is set to release on 19 January 2024 and will be seen again Rudra in Stree 2.
