Actress and niece of Mega-star Chiranjeevi, Niharika Konidela, got hitched to Hyderabad-based techie Chaitanya JV in December 2020. The union was that of a love turned arranged marriage. Niharika hails from the popular “Mega” house hold being the daughter of Nagababu, while Chaitanya is the son of Guntur Inspector General of Police J Prabhakar Rao. The couple had a lavish wedding in Udaipur hosted by the bride’s brother, Varun Tej.
Their wedding was quite a spectacle with stars like Allu Arjun, Ram Charan, Pawan Kalyan, Chiranjeevi, and the entire Konidela-Allu family, dancing the night away and celebrating together. Initial rumors regarding their split began when the two deleted all their wedding pictures and unfollowed each other on Instagram. The rumors of her strained marriage were only fueled when the actress deactivated her Instagram account in March 2022. These speculations grew due to the absence of Chaitanya from Varun Tej and Lavanya Tripathi’s recent engagement. Social media was filled with trolls, memes and comments about the same, with people commenting; ‘Bava didn’t come’, ‘Where is Chay’, etc.
The pair apparently applied for mutual divorce last month (June 5th) and now, after the court’s grant, are legally separated, breaking the news to the general public. The reason behind their unfortunate split, though, may be due to irreconcilable differences. Niharika has taken to her Instagram to post a small note announcing the same today asking for privacy and sensitivity regarding the issue, stating that the divorce was mutual.
Ex- Husband Chaitanya recently posted on social media, after nearly 4 months, some pictures from his 10-day meditation excursion captioning it, “Vipassana into my life was by far the best experience of my existence. Rarely in one’s life will they go somewhere with no expectations and come out with the wisdom they never knew they were in need of. Gratitude and only gratitude.” While Niharika is in the works of producing a web series under her banner ‘Pink Elephant.’
