Malayalam Cinema caught red-handed: This actor-producer paid Rs.25 crore penalty

We say life is Yin-yang, black in whites and white in blacks. But with a corrupted world like today’s, we have more black than white – yes, in terms of money, too.

It’s not some treasure-hunt secret how black money circulates through our economy round the clock with no repercussions whatsoever. This time, sources have caught hold of Malayalam Cinema. Known for its epic movies and revolutionary content, Mollywood has never let us down. But everything comes at a cost, doesn’t it? The Income Tax Department and the Enforcement Directorate (ED) conducted a thorough investigation and discovered that a lot of black money is pushed into the Mollywood system from overseas, especially invested in movies that are probable to causing a threat to our security system or portray our national security in a negative light.

Out of the 5 producers that are under scrutiny by central agents, one actor-producer from Mollywood has already been fined Rs.25 crore. For more accurate outcomes and a plan of action, the ED has also decided to record statements of the CA(s) that were handling the culprit’s financial transactions. Reportedly, the name is Prithviraj Sukumaran.

It was also revealed that these ‘black money’ movies encouraged the high availability of drugs at the shoot location. Black is clearly getting blacker with every fact we find out about this ugly black money situation. The world’s blackest black paint stands no ground in front of the darkness this holds.

Kerala Police is trying to be a knight in shining armour by tightening the drug use rules on shooting locations. Let’s see where this goes. Will it bring forth a shocking truth or will it again be swept under the rug like a million other corruption cases?
