Simbu’s recent release, ‘Pathu Thala’, emerged as one of the highest-grossing Tamil films of the year. Up next, the actor is all set to start his 48th film to be directed by Desingh Periasamy of ‘Kannam Kannam Kollai Adithal’ fame. Ulaganayagan Kamal Haasan will be producing the movie.
Produced by Raaj Kamal Films International, STR48 is said to be the biggest film in Simbu’s career. The film is touted to have some historical period portions. According to sources, Keerthi Suresh is in talks for the female lead role. Notably, Keerthi Suresh charges a whopping remuneration. Not just Keerthi, along with her earlier Deepika Padukone is also under consideration.
We can expect an official announcement from the team soon if the talks go well. Also, Kamal Haasan is expected to play a cameo in STR48, which has doubled its expectations. Apparently, Anirudh Ravichander will score the film’s music.
