Filmify has already been updating about the film Indian 2 sequel of Bharateeyudu starring universal actor Kamal Haasan under Shankar’s directorial. Indian 2 schedules are also pacing up with the shoots nearing the end to start the post-production works of the film.
Now the latest buzz is that there’s also a chance for Indian 3 after the release of Indian 2. In a recent interview, Udhayanidhi Stalin who is one of the producers of the Indian 2 has ignited hope among fans about the blockbuster film Indian sequels.
While promoting his latest and last film Maamannan, Actor has revealed a significant amount of unused clips which can make a potential sequel for Indian 2. Director Shankar Shanmugam has finished a major schedule in South Africa.
Talking about the Indian 2 Udhayanidhi addressed, “We’re thinking of doing Indian 3. Kamal Sir and Shankar Sir are very happy but, They haven’t decided anything yet the filmmakers told me that they have a lot of unused footage. The actor also spilled beans about him not being a part of Red Giant Movies anymore which is bankrolling Indian 2 jointly with Lyca Productions.
Accordingly, Udhayanidhi Stalin is also playing a crucial role in the revival of Indian 2 as the movie was laid back for over two years due to conflicts and setbacks mainly after a tragic accident occurred on set in 2020. In the meantime, Kamal did a blockbuster Vikram and Shankar started Gamechanger shoot with Ram Charan Tej. It was Vikram’s success that revived Indian 2 back to sets jointly venturing with Red Giant Movies.
Indian 2 is a vigilante action thriller written and directed by Shankar Shanmugam as a sequel to the 1996 blockbuster film Indian starring Kamal Haasan, Kajal Aggarwal, Sj Suryah, Siddharth, Priya Shankar Bhavani, Rakul Preet Singh, Gulshan Grover, Kalidas Jayaram along with others. Music composed by Anirudh Ravichander and produced by Red Giant Movies along with Lyca Productions. Indian 2 is slated to release in April next year.
