‘Bimbisara’ was one of the biggest hits in Tollywood last year. New director Vashishtha has made this film with Nandamuri Kalyan Ram as the hero who has not had proper success for years. This Kalyan Ram’s film, which cost well beyond the market level, brought more than double the income on the investment. Even before the release of the film, it was planned to make a sequel to ‘Bimbisara’, which became one of the biggest hits in Kalyan Ram’s career.
Work has also started for the second part a few days ago. But the director Vashishtha walked out of the film amid unexpected developments. He has crazy offers so there is no need to feel too much about leaving this film. However, there have been reports that Kalyan Ram has to pay compensation to the company for breaking the contract and withdrawing from this sequel.
At the same time, it is heard that though Kalyan Ram can go for another director, Vashishtha was determined to take legal action if her inputs and ideas were used for the sequel. It is clear that Vashishtha is not in this project. But doubts are now being expressed in the industry about whether this movie will actually exist or not. Kalyan Ram did not want to make a sequel just to cash in on the ‘Bimbisara’ craze but wanted to really be a part of a good project. Some writers and his production team are trying to prepare the script for this movie.
Also, his VEFX company can provide all necessary support for this film as the role of that company is also crucial in the success of ‘Bimbisara’. If all of them together prepare a satisfactory script and find a director who can direct it effectively, then this project will be possible. But it seems that there is no complete satisfaction with the work done so far and that’s why this movie was not announced on the occasion of Kalyan Ram’s birthday on Wednesday as previously planned. So it cannot be said that the sequel of ‘Bimbisara’ will be certain.
