Gigi Hadid, the American supermodel who has appeared on Vogue more than the number of her age , was arrested for carrying cannabis drug, colloquially Ganja, while travelling with her friend Leah Nicole McCarthy to Cayman Islands.
At Owen Roberts International Airport, the model was caught possessing drugs and fined with a heavy penalty. This incident took place last week during luggage inspecting at Cayman Islands. It’s interesting that the drugs were caught directly at the destination airport but no one batted an eye at the departure location. Other than the main substance aka cannabis, other items that are used to consume Ganja were also found which brought the officers to a decision of arresting both of them under possession of drugs and substance abuse.
The plans of a fun vacation drowned into the sea as on July 12, 2023, Gigi Hadid and McCarthy appeared in Summary Court were fined $1,000.00 each, and no conviction was recorded. Currently, they’re not allowed to continue with their tour at Cayman.
Cannabis, locally called Ganja, is a medicinal drug commonly used for treatment purposes. However, the application of cannabis as medicine is done differently.
