Chiranjeevi’s Change of Heart: For Remakes

Chiranjeevi Film Choices

Megastar Chiranjeevi’s recent misstep with the remake of “God Father,” a remake of Lucifer has led him to rethink his stance on remakes. After the film’s disappointing performance, Chiranjeevi expressed his decision to avoid remakes in the future. His candid comments shed light on his frustration with the remake strategy, emphasizing the challenges of recreating the magic of the original.

Chiranjeevi’s sentiment stems from the backlash received for not living up to the high expectations set by the original film, “Lucifer.” While Chiranjeevi had initially hoped to recreate the success of the Malayalam blockbuster, the response to “God Father” has prompted him to reconsider his approach. The Megastar’s dedication to original content and his desire to offer fresh and innovative stories have now taken precedence.

Interestingly, while Chiranjeevi’s stance on remakes has shifted, the producer of the upcoming film “Bhola Shankar,” a remake of the Tamil hit “Vedalam,” has offered a different perspective. The producer suggests that “Vedalam” did not garner as much exposure as “Lucifer,” possibly implying that the source material’s popularity can impact the success of a remake.

This Bhola Shankar is releasing on August 11 and it stars Chiranjeevi, Tamannah, Keerthy Suresh, and others. Keerthy played a sister role for Megastar in this family entertainer film. Meher Ramesh donned the director’s hat.
