Devara Director Gets In Legal Trouble For…Deets Inside

Devara Director in trouble

Devara director Koartala Siva is a big name in the Telugu Film Industry. The director has given masterpieces such as Prabhas Mirchi, Mahesh Babu’s Srimanthudu, and NTR’s Janata Garage. Siva’s story showcases the social issues and reality of the current society. His films always have a more profound message for the audience. The director who has entertained the public with his marvellous storytelling has now fallen into legal trouble.

Koratala Siva is caught in a legal tangle as a case is filed against him by writer Sarath Chandra for stealing his story for Srimanthudu. Sarath Chandra claimed Siva copied his story and created Mahesh Babu’s Srimanthudu. The writer says that Srimanthudu is a scene-to-scene copy of his novel except for the village name, as Siva changed the name from Devarakonda to Devarakota in the film. Sarath Chandra also claimed they are ready to pay him 15 lakhs, but Sarath wants to keep ownership of the story. The writer wants Koratala Siva to accept that he is guilty; otherwise, Sarath says Siva will be sent to jail.

There are speculations in the industry that, because of this rift between Koratala Siva and writer Sarath Chandra, Junior NTR’s Devara movie might face repercussions that can hinder the shooting and may result in the postponement of the theatrical release of the film, which is expected on April 5, 2024.
