On Friday, actor Naga Chaitanya, during the promotions of his new movie, Custody opened up about his marriage with ex-wife Samantha. This is the first time the actor has spoken up about his relationship with the actress and their separation. Samantha’s recent Instagram story suggests that she has acknowledged his comments.
Naga Chaitanya and Samantha were the power couple of the Telugu industry in the short time they were married. Their relationship was shipped by many and they were lovingly called ChaySam. Both the actors met on the sets of Ye Maaya Chesave and in 2017, the actors tied the knot in a beautiful wedding attended by many stars.
However, their relationship saw the test of time and eventually led to divorce. In 2021, the separation was announced through the actors’ social media accounts and a year later, their divorce was legally confirmed. Since the split, the former couple have been very tight-lipped about the details of the divorce. Samantha has made some vague comments about the relationship but never fully revealed what conspired.
While promoting his new movie, Chay talked about his ex-wife for the first time since divorce. He stated, “She is a lovely person and deserves all happiness. It is only when the media speculates that things get awkward between us. In the public eye, that mutual respect is taken away. That’s what I feel bad about. And you know what is worse? They bring in a third party, someone who is not connected to my part to create headlines out of that. It’s very disrespectful to the third party whom they are unnecessarily involving with my past.”
After his comments were all over the internet, Samantha put up a insta story of a Nikola Tesla quote which reads, “We are all one. Only egos, beliefs, and fears separate us.” This indicates that Samantha has heard Chay loud and clear. It looks like all is well in the past and that both the actors have moved on.
However, Chay’s positive comments and Sam’s story has sparked a hope in the fans as many are wishing for the power-couple to get back together again.
