KGF star Yash has been making headlines since last December after he announced his next project. After being on hiatus for months, the actor announced his project with director Geetu Mohandas, YAsh19, as tentatively titled, is one of the most widely discussed subjects on social media.
Shruti Hassan was named as the vocalist of the title track, Toxic. Netizens sparked speculations about the actress being part of the film and one of the project’s three heroines. This morning’s update hints that Kareena Kapoor Khan is set to join the film in April as it commences its shooting.
According to a source, it is confirmed, but the team hasn’t responded to anything about this news, nor is it officially confirmed. If the speculations are to be believed, the makers are looking for local talent to fill the third spot as other than Yash, none of the announced actors is of Kannada origin.
Toxic is said to be a gangster tale with a female perspective, but rumors also suggest about Goa’s drug mafia in the 60s and 70s. Toxic is set to be out on big screens in 2025 summer.
