The Bob Dylan biopic titled ‘A Complete Unknown’ has garnered interest among netizens and film aficionados worldwide. The star-studded cast, the plot, and the never-before-told tale of the late singer has generated much anticipation for the movie.
According to some reports, Benedict Cumberbatch will portray the role of Pete Seeger, a 20th Century musician who had a great deal of influence on Dylan, paving the way for his infatuation with the American folk music scene. However, nothing is confirmed as of yet.
If the reports are true, the Doctor Strange actor will join Timothée Chalamet who is all set to play the legendary singer, Bob Dylan. The movie also stars Monica Barbaro and Elle Fanning in lead roles. The flick is being directed by two-time Oscar nominee, James Mangold and is being backed by Searchlight Pictures. The film is set to offer an intimate portrayal of a pivotal period in Bob Dylan’s life.
The film is heading into production in New York this summer and will show Dylan as he revolutionizes the music scene with his performance with the electric guitar. Jay Cocks (Gangs of New York) wrote the script, with Mangold handling revisions.
Benedict Cumberbatch was last seen in “Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness”.
