The Legend of Bhagat Singh is a Rajkumar Santoshi-directed biographical period drama produced by Tips Industries. The movie is about Bhagat Singh, a revolutionary who battled alongside other members of the Hindustan Socialist Republican Association for Indian independence. The film features Ajay Devgan, Sushant Singh, D. Santhosh, and Akhilendra Mishra in lead roles.
On June 7, 2002, the movie was released. The movie portrays Bhagat Singh’s life from the time he was an infant child and saw the Jallianwala Bagh Massacre until the day he was hung before the formal trial on March 24, 1931. Mera Rang de Basanti Chola is one of the most acclaimed patriotic songs ever, and A.R. Rahman composed the music for the movie.
