Maidaan Advance Bookings And Opening Day Prediction

Followed by the success of Shaitaan, Ajay Devgn is all set to captivae the audience with his next anticipated movie, Maidaan. Coming to the advance booking update, Maidaan crossed the 13 lakh mark yesterday. Further the movie advance sales for seat block earned around Rs 51 lakhs for its opening day.

Maidaan Box Office

As of now, it has earned just a little over 17 lakh gross (excluding blocked seats) through advance booking for day 1. It includes a sale of over 9,300 tickets across the country. As of now, around 1,110 shows are listed on online ticket-booking sites.

The advance booking was moving at a decent speed, shockingly, it’s now stuck and going ahead at a snail speed. Considering the high production value, Maidaan needs to really pick up, and during this 3 days before the release, it must aim to hit the 7 crore mark in the advance booking alone for Day 1.

Ajay Devgn plays the role of legendary football coach, Syed Abdul Rahim. He is known as the pioneer of indian football.

Talking about the film, Ajay said in a statement, “After 1983 (referring to India’s grand win at the 1983 cricket world cup), football was lost somewhere. I was amazed that this happened in our country. We had Amita Sharma (director), who did extensive research. I would not call it just a sports film. It has got so much drama. As an actor, it was a film with so many layers. It is very strong in its emotional drama, apart from sports. After a long time, I had fun doing a film like this. I thoroughly enjoyed it.”

Maidaan Release Date

Maidaan has been in the production for almost 5 years and after facing multiple hurdles. Produced by Zee Studios, Boney Kapoor, Arunava Joy Sengupta and Akash Chawla. The screenplay and dialogues are written by Saiwyn Quadras and Ritesh Shah respectively. Music is by AR Rahman.

The film is finally scheduled for an Eid 2024 release. Ajay‘s film is all set to hit theatres on 10th April 2024! The film also stars Gajraj Rao and Priyamani in pivotal roles.
