True Beauty is based on a webtoon with the same title written by Yaongyi. The drama was filmed when the webtoon was still ongoing. Now that the webtoon has come to an end there were various speculations regarding the series renewing for its 2nd season. Reports suggest that Moon Go Young and Cha Eun Woo will soon appear in the sequel as the main leads of the sequel. Though there were numerous rumours revolving around the cast and the sequel of the drama both the agency and the production department are yet to respond to the rumours.
