People have been talking and wondering about actor Suriya’s many trips to Mumbai. Some have even said that he might have moved his family there. But now, Suriya has explained the real reason for these visits.
Suriya and Jyothika, a beloved couple in Tamil cinema, got married in 2006 after dating for several years with their parents’ blessing. They have two kids, a daughter named Diya and a son named Dev.
Suriya is currently working on his 42nd movie under director Siva. Addressing rumours about living in Mumbai, Suriya said, “There are rumours on social media that I’ve moved to Mumbai. Let me clear that up. That’s not true. Both our kids are studying in Mumbai.”
He explained that he goes to Mumbai mainly to be with his children and ensure they’re doing well. Suriya highlighted that he’s based in Chennai, not Mumbai. He added, “My main focus is being a good dad to our kids and managing my work in Chennai.”
Suriya’s explanation clears up why he frequently goes to Mumbai and ends speculations about his family living there.
