The Powerstar is lined up with many films this year, one amongst them is Ustaad Bhagat Singh. UBS is reported to be a remake of the Tamil film Theri directed by Atlee. Pawan Kalyan is working work his Gabbar Singh directer for this film. The music is being scored by Devi Sri Prasad, the cinematography is supported by Ayananka Bose. Apart from Pawan Kalyan and Pankaj Tripathi, the other cast members are yet to be finalized.
Previously, news regarding Sree Leela acting alongside PK created some buzz, but the team didn’t announce officially it yet. Recently, Potham pole actress Malavika Mohanan a Tamil actress was reported to be in talks with the crew for being a part of the cast, looks like the team is in a dilemma as to who fits the role perfectly as Pooja Hedge is also reported to be considered for the role. Theri being an action drama is based on the protagonist Vijay who plays the character of a policeman who goes through various situations which result in losing his beloved. The film mainly focuses mainly on 4 characters which implies the importance of 2 female leads.
Theri was originally made in Tamil which was later dubbed into other languages. Theri which was titled Policeoodu was also well-received by the Telugu audience. There are speculations as of how will the film do as it is a remake.
Will Ustab Bhagat Singh do the same as Govinda Govinda or will it make its place in the industry?
