After 7 years, Karan Johar took his megaphone for the film ‘Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani’. His last directorial film was ‘Ae Dil Hai Mushkil’, released many years ago. Now again, with ‘Rocky Aur Rani…’ he is back in the direction, and the film hit the theatres on July 28, 2023. Though the film had a decent opening at the box office, it saw an upward trend over the weekend.
Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani, which opened to positive reviews, took an opening of Rs 11.10 crore on its first day at the box office. On its second day, the film bagged Rs 16.05 crore. And now, as per trusted reports and early estimates, ‘RARKPK’ minted around Rs 19 crore on the third day, taking the total box-office collection of the film to Rs 46 crore.
Film stars Ranveer Singh and Alia Bhatt in the lead roles. This Karan Johar film also features Dharmendra, Shabana Azmi, and Jaya Bachchan. It’s a big Bollywood movie, by all means. Therefore the collections had to be in line, especially since there is a significant family element and a good entertainment quotient.
