Prithviraj Sukumaran’s L2 Empuraan Shoot Resumes

Prithviraj Sukumaran, the Malayalam star, has resumed shooting for his next directorial project, L2: Empuraan, which serves as the sequel to his 2019 hit, Lucifer. Sharing a picture from the movie set, he captioned it, “On to home turf next!”

In the last 20 days, he has had two big releases, The Goat Life and Bade Miyan Chote Miyan. One would think that calls for a breather. Not if you are Prithviraj Sukumaran. After promoting the two films over the past few weeks, the actor flew back to Chennai to kick off the latest schedule of his next directorial venture, L2: Empuraan. The Mohanlal-led action thriller is the second instalment in the Lucifer franchise.

L2 Empuraan Latest Updates

Prithviraj’s busy schedule with various projects had kept him away from L2: Empuraan for a while. The upcoming film, based on Murali Gopy’s screenplay, is anticipated to be action-packed and delve deeper into the character of Mohanlal’s Khureshi-Ab’raam, a notorious international gangster.

Retaining much of the supporting cast from its predecessor, including Manju Warrier, Tovino Thomas, and Indrajith Sukumaran, among others, the sequel promises to continue the gripping narrative.

L2 – Empuraan, as Prithviraj’s third directorial venture, follows the success of Lucifer and Bro Daddy, both featuring Mohanlal in lead roles. The film boasts an ensemble cast, including Tovino Thomas, Manju Warrier, Indrajith Sukumaran, Sai Kumar, Sanya Iyappan, and more in significant roles.

Penned by Murali Gopy, the film is co-produced by Lyca Productions and Aashirvad Cinemas. Deepak Dev handles the music, while Sujit Vaassudev and Akhilesh Mohan manage the cinematography and editing, respectively.

Prithviraj Sukumaran Work Front

In his recent works, Prithviraj Sukumaran portrayed Najeeb in Blessy’s Aadujeevitham, which premiered on March 28th and emerged as a blockbuster success. He also played the antagonist Kabir in Akshay Kumar’s Bade Miyan, Chote Miyan, alongside Tiger Shroff, although the film didn’t fare well at the box office.

Next up, the actor is set to appear in Vipin Das’ comedy film Guruvayoor Ambala Nadayil, scheduled for release in May. The movie features notable names like Basil Joseph, Yogi Babu, Nikhila Vimal, Anaswara Rajan, and others in pivotal roles.
