Shah Rukh Khan’s Pathaan is creating history in Bollywood by smashing records at the box office in India. The film, starring John Abraham and Deepika Padukone in key roles, is having an incredible run at the ticket window and is absolutely unstoppable as the film minted around Rs 900.00 crore at the worldwide box office, with India’s box office collection of Rs 550 crore and overseas of Rs 350 crore. The film is expected to cross Rs 1000 crore globally in the upcoming days.
Despite a slight dip in earnings in weekdays, Siddharth Anand-directed film remains the primary attraction in theaters and continues to draw crowds during weekends. Since its premiere on January 25, “Pathaan” has set numerous records both domestically and globally.
Pathaan was billed to be an action thriller film helmed by Siddharth Anand and produced by Aditya Chopra of Yash Raj Films. The fourth installment in the YRF Spy Universe stars Shah Rukh Khan, Deepika Padukone, and John Abraham, alongside Dimple Kapadia and Ashutosh Rana.
Pathaan overtook the lifetime collection at the domestic box office of Aamir Khan’s Dangal last week and is also now just behind the Hindi versions of Baahubali: The Conclusion and KGF: Chapter 2.
