Kamal Hasan pens an emotional note on the death of Dr M.S. Swaminathan!

Kollywood’s renowned actor Kamal Hasan, who is an admirer of the father of the Indian green revolution, pens an emotional note on the death of Dr M.S. Swaminathan on his Twitter account.

Dr M.S. Swaminathan is a renowned agricultural scientist, also popularly known as the father of the Green Revolution, who contributed to India’s combat food security—he died at 96 due to age-related issues this morning.

He was deeply grieved by the passing away of Dr M.S. Swaminathan and penned a heartfelt note on his Twitter account. He tweeted “Deeply grieved by the passing away of Dr. M.S. Swaminathan, eminent agriculture scientist and the father of India’s green revolution. On gaining Independence the most challenging governance issue for the country was it’s ability to feed its population, a task that most of the world felt India would be incapable of accomplishing. It was pioneers such as Dr. M.S Swaminathan who made India into a self-sustaining and food surplus nation. We are all indebted to his life’s work. A grateful nation will never forget your immense contributions.”

It is reported that Kamal Hasan is an admirer of the late Dr M.S. Swaminathan and is deeply saddened by the death of his favorite human being.
