C.S. Lewis shares a heartfelt letter for Lucy

Chronicles of Narnia written by the fantasy writer C.S. Lewis was adapted into a film series each part encompassing a new story connecting to the lead characters Lucy Pevensie, Edmund Pevensie, Peter Pevensie, and Susan Pevensie.

Lucy being the main protagonist of the film happens to be so dear to the writer as he wrote her character. The writer recently shared a heartfelt letter to his dear character Lucy.

“To Lucy Barfield

MY DEAR LUCY,

I wrote this story for but when I began it you, I had not realised that girls grow quicker than books. As a result you are already too old for fairy tales, and by the time it is printed and bound you will be older still. But some day you will be old enough to start reading fairy tales again. You can then take it down from some upper shelf, dust it, and tell me what you think of it. I shall probably be too deaf to hear, and too old to understand, a word you say, but I shall still be,

your affectionate Godfather,

C. S. LEWIS” Wrote the writer.
