Adipurush now completing 5 days post its release started strong but failed to stand the test of time as the weekend ended and negative reviews started rolling in. The film opened to large crowds and massive collections on days 1 and 2 but is now coming to a halt constantly surrounded by new controversies and trolls. On day 5 this revamped Ramayana reached the 395cr. mark worldwide according to the movie’s makers, but having been made with a budget of 500 cr. the film is still failing to do the numbers it requires.
Therefore the Adipurush team has decided to slash ticket prices to 150 Rs. on June 22nd and 23rd to make the movie more accessible to all, along with refining and editing certain dialogues to appeal to the audience with a tag of “ab har Bharatiya dekhega”( the tagline doesn’t seem smart considering the tension in Nepal). Although this offer is currently not applicable in AP, Telangana Kerela, Tamil Nadu, and watching in 3D comes with extra charges.
Will this salvage the movie and help it ride through the rest of the week?
