In the pre-pandemic times, OTT platforms were mostly about Hollywood movies. Unfortunately, as the Corona attack crippled all the systems and caused the shutdown of theatres, OTTs became the best choice for movie releases. In fact, the OTTs saved a lot of small producers from getting drowned in the debt interests. Now, even though the pandemic has reached the endemic stage, OTTs aren’t slowing down. A lot of movies are being released online. After 3 or 4 weeks of theatrical release, many movies are being streamed in OTTs.
Coming to this week’s Telugu OTT releases, there are a few interesting movies. Viswaksen’s recent hit Ashokavanamlo Arjuna Kalyanam will be streaming in AHA from June 3rd. It’s already officially announced, and the audience who missed it in theatres are eager to watch it. One of the most awaited movies of Malayalam films, Jana Gana Mana, will be streamed on Netflix from June 2nd. This Prithviraj Sukumaran movie has a lot of buzzes. Nandamuri Taraka Ratna’s first-ever web series attempt, 9 Hours, will be seen in Hotstar from June 2nd. On the other hand, Amazon Prime Video will see the third season of The Boys on June 3rd. Other than these, various small movies and series are also ready for the audience.
