Intense and captivating, the trailer for Randeep Hooda’s thrilling cop drama, “Inspector Avinash” dropped on Monday. Written and directed by Neeraj Pathak, the series is streaming from 18 May on Jio Cinema.
Randeep Hooda plays the titular character, Avinash Mishra, a ruthless cop who shows no mercy and is a devotee of Lord Shiva. The series is set in the late 1990s and is based on the real-life adventures of Uttar Pradesh police officer Avinash Mishra who challenged the arms mafia. In the gripping trailer, Randeep Hooda shatters the fourth wall and questions the audience if they think of him as a hero or a villain.
The show also stars Urvashi Rautela, Amit Sial, Abhimanyu Singh, Shalin Bhanot, Freddy Daruwala, Rahul Mittra, and Adhyayan Suman.
Randeep shared, “As an actor, I am always drawn towards real-life stories of unsung heroes. Mishra’s story is nothing short of a real-life modern-day Robinhood, fighting against crime and standing up for what’s right and I am truly honored to be a part of this heroic story.”
